About Us

The DelMarVa SHRM formed in the mid 1980’s as a networking/informational venue for area human resource professionals. The focus was for small businesses in Kent and Sussex counties. The original name was the Southern Counties Personnel Group and then evolved into the DelMarVa Human Resources Group. The same format has continued through the years including monthly meetings with relevant subject-area presentations and proactive ways to support the Human Resource Professional. Meeting locations have varied and alternate between locations in Kent and Sussex counties.

Five or six years ago, a decision was made to seek SHRM affiliation which has expanded the resources of the DelMarVa SHRM and the benefits we can provide the Human Resource Professional.
